Alltel Wireless debuts EVDO wireless broadband service in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and surrounding areas

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Alltel Wireless, America's largest network, is now offering continuous Axcess Broadband coverage throughout the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metro areas, including along the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. This next generation EVDO (evolution data optimized) technology provides customers with unlimited wireless access to the Internet at speeds comparable to wired broadband connections such as cable modem or DSL.
